 Rugelach Recipe 

1 tablespoon dry yeast

3 cups flour

4 tablespoons sugar

¼ cup warm water

2 eggs

1 cup margarine

½ teaspoon salt

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

 

Mix dry yeast and flour

 

 

 

Add sugar and mix

 

Add water and eggs and mix

Add rest of ingredients and knead

 


 

Refrigerate for 3 hours

 

Divide into 3 balls

Roll out into three large circles

Brush with oil

Spread 1/3 of the filling on each

 

 

 

 

Cut each circle into 16 pieces

 

Roll from outer edge inward

Place on greased cookie sheet

Brush with egg

Bake at 350 for 20 minutes

 

Fillings

 

Cinnamon

1 cup sugar

½cup brown sugar 

 

2 teaspoon cinnamon

 

Chocolate filling

½ cup cocoa

1.5 cup sugar

1 cup confectionary sugar

1 tablespoon vanilla extract

 

Sprinkle with confectionary sugar
